  • Twin Otter Landing Wheels Canted at fuselage Problem

Canted landing wheels problem. Building a VMAR RCAF CC-138 DHC-6 Twin Otter ARF. Got the landing gear placed as directed. Pre bent wire rods placed in fuselage. No adjustment room in slotted bolted holder in fuselage. Fits right. But the wheels are now canted and not parallel to the fuselage. This doesn’t seem correct. I’m thinking of bending the rods. Any suggestions? First RC build. Going with Nexa warbird after this one. Not impressed with VMAR’s instruction manual. Sparse detail. Please see pics. Thanks.

BTW, wheels and coverings are not mounted yet. Rods only. Just loosely placed wheels and covers to show the ultimate issue if secured in place etc. Thanks!
