  • DRACO 2.0 ESC and Reverse Thrust Question

Hey gang, so I've searched and searched and read a lot of posts here and there and I'm just going to ask it...

How do you get the reverse thrust to work on the Draco? Do you need to use a Spektrum receiver and transmitter?

So I picked one up second hand and it doesn't have a receiver, so I threw in a Futaba 8ch R2008SB I had laying around and use a Futaba T6K 8 channel radio. I plugged everything in per the manual with the following channels.

    1 - Aileron
    2- Elevator
    3- Throttle
    4- Rudder
    5- Lights
    6- Flaps
7- empty (but assigned 3 position switch for what I thought was reverse)
    8- empty

From what I am understanding the Draco ESC has a function where it automatically knows if you have a switch assigned to channel 7 even though nothing is physically plugged into the receiver. am I understanding that or missing something? Do I have to program something or am I missing a function on my transmitter to get it to work right?

Everything else works and runs, just can't get the damn reverse thing to work and I think that is a cool feature...I don't want to have to go buy Spektrum gear to get it to work.
Working...
