  • Dynam Hawker Tempest Prop

Has anyone had trouble fitting the supplied prop with the Dynam Tempest?

This is my issue. When the spinner is added to what I believe is prop adapter B and the supplied prop, I end up with the issue below, that being the shaft is not long enough and there is nothing left to secure the prop with the nut......

This seems to be a pretty big oversight by Dynam.

On the site they do also have a Dynam Hawker Tempest Blade Holder - HKTP-10, this did not come in the box and no other details are forthcoming on their site.

Has anyone else had a similar issue and if so were there any other 3rd party props that fitted, additional or alternative adapters or remedies that sorted the problem?

Thanks for any help in advance

It looks like, whoever at the factory that assembled your plane, used the wrong motor prop adapter. It should be the longer one for the planes that have a spinner. Thats the shorter one like for the P-47 or T-28.
Unfortunately thats the kind of thing I've run into with Dynam, that, quality control and fitment issues, so I moved on to other brands

I have notice the quality of this model, some aspects are excellent but they only serve to highlight the quality issues in places all the more!
I was thinking the same with regards to which prop adapter was attached in the factory. So I will perhaps order what looks like the correct one.
its a shame, their range of models are really enticing, but the quality just isn’t there.

I agree, their selection is good. They do fly well and I like the looks of the finished planes. I have had bad experience with the retractable landing gear on their planes.

I have had the same issue. After only a couple of flights the retracts shifted and the left one was catching on the wing and wouldn’t close properly.
I’m happy enough with how the Tempest flies, but she is quite tricky to say the least on take off and landing.
perhaps it will settle as I get more familiar with it……. I hope!
