  • RC propeller thrust direction

    Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with the thrust direction of my motor. I built a 3D-printed plane with the motor positioned at the back. When I set both the propeller and motor to spin in the same direction (counterclockwise), the thrust is directed backward, pulling the plane toward me. However, when the directions are different, the plane moves forward.

A motor on the back needs to be reversed if using a normal propeller or not reversed if using a pusher propeller. Since you probably are using a normal prop reversing the motor direction is needed. Also make sure the prop face is facing the correct way. Numbers on the face of the prop face forward. If no numbers the camber, concave part goes to the back. A prop has an airfoil shape that has to be correct.
