  • Sport cub S2 problem

    Hello,
I recently got a Sport Cub S2. However, I crashed into a tree not long ago, and while the plane was unharmed, the battery ejected. I found it, so it wasn’t a big deal. But just now, during a flight, the battery flew out again while I was pulling a loop at about 50 feet. It must have been a bit too hard, as the battery came loose halfway to the top. Fortunately, the plane glided fine despite being completely uncontrolled, likely due to its light weight. Unfortunately, I lost the battery this time, and I want to prevent this from happening again.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, do you have any solutions?

Here’s the battery holder. It’s pretty much just a spot for the battery to sit flush with Velcro to hold it in

I just realized that this is a UMX plane that uses a tiny 1S battery. Forget what I said in my previous post. A 1S battery is a bit too small to secure in the fashion I described.
Did you have the proper velcro "mate" on the battery? Usually when such a battery falls out, it's because the user did not use the "mated" velcro or they didn't use velcro at all on the battery. One side is fuzzy (soft) and the other is like a cat's tongue (sort of scratchy). If you have the proper mated velcro stuck well on the battery and ensure both sides are keep debris free, that should be enough to hold the battery in as it doesn't weight much.
