  • Dauntless SBD Freewing please Produce this Again

The Freewing Dauntless is a wonderful flyer. Its also a great looking plane with a full cockpit interior.

Its easy to fly and you can get the dive brakes to work like the real plane, definitely slows it down in a 70 degree dive. I've done lots of modifications to mine including a working swingarm trapeze bomb release.

The Dauntless scored most of the hits on the Japanese carriers early in the Pacific during WWII. Coral Sea, Midway and Guadalcanal. It truly is a famous warbird

It really should be reintroduced by Motion RC. They could use the P-38 3748 600kv motors and the prop off the B-25.

p.S. I did post this in RCGroups as well.

I wholeheartedly agree with bringing the SBD-3 in the inventory. One of my all time favorite aircraft. Would love to see it in a ~1400mm size class.

I’m a 77 year old noob and would definitely buy this plane!

I'd jump at the chance to have a Dauntless as well!

I would love to buy another Nexus SBD 5 Dauntless. I had one before and I like the Dauntless much more that the Banshee as far as looks. If Motion RC would stock the 1540mm Blue Dauntless I would buy it the same day. Great looking and flying plane.
Motion RC please see what your dedicated buyers are asking for. I have all warbirds (seven) and all but one came form Motion RC.
