  • Brian Taylor 64" Japanese George

While working on my FW F-4 Phantom I have been assembling the parts to construct a new plane. It is only worked on when I'm waiting on paint and parts to dry or a diversion from over thinking the F-4. So far, I have the basic fuselage framed and converting it to electric (6s). the motor, prop and landing gear of the FMS P-47 will be installed. I will look for the correct size motor at Toledo and order the landing gear from FMS when they get in stock. All wood parts are hand cut so this will be an old-time build. The Brian Taylor models are just right for electric and his plans are very scale.
Pleses let me know if you guys want me to continue posting my progress.
    Best Regards, Rex

      Thanks.
The real George was a big plane but had simple retracting gear and was able to hold its own against allied fighters with a capable pilot at the controls. With electric power and scale 4- blade props pulse the FMS P-47 retracts are almost a drop in. Not seldom seen at the field but Brian Taylors designs are known for scale accuracy and can be built lite. The Air Force Museum has a George on display and is only 2-hour drive, so I decided to build one. Will be a slow build but will post every now and then.
      Best Regards, Rex
