  • Parkzone Sukhoi

I just ordered a Parkzone Sukhoi last Friday, eagerly awaiting it's arrival. This plane has been out a while, any tips for flight & setting it up with a DX6i? Thanks! Ron

maidened it last weekend, replaced the receiver with a non as3x receiver because it oscillated horribly at anything over half throttle in all 3 flight modes. Waiting for good weather to re-maiden.

I bought one I am going to sell as I never could get it to fly how I want it to. I never thought about removing the AS3X. If I can't sell it at our buy and fly next month maybe I will try that.

I have a 1st Gen Sukhoi. I fly it in precision mode most of the time with no oscillations.

Definitely try a non as3x receiver. I called Horizon about it and they said," Oh yeah, the manual mentions this about oscillation above half throttle.." ..And I'm thinking, " so they knowingly sell a plane that doesn't fly right?" They said the reason is that they turned the sensitivity all the way up on the as3x to help 1st time pilots, so it overcompensates. They said it's not re-programmable and they don't even want the receiver returned! Probably the reason for the release new E-flite sukhoi gen2. I hate to lose the panic button but I've tweaked the expo & travel on my ailerons & elevator until I get used to the plane.

New receiver fixed it! Here's the re-maiden video.
