  • Dynam vs. eflite corsairs

I'm trying to decide between the dynam corsair (50") and the eflite corsair (48") for my next plane. I'm looking for input comparing ease and quality of flight, durability, things being correct and working properly on purchase (I've read about retract issues with dynam?).

The dynam has lights which are cool, both have retracts which is a must have (just cause I really like them).

The dynam is cheaper, but I'm wondering if the additional money for the eflite is the better decision.

For the record, my last plane was the eflite T-28 and I was very happy with it.

I welcome your thoughts and input!

I have the Dynam and it is a joy to fly . It has a very light wing load so it floats in without flaps , it doesn't have them . If you don't have a Spektrum radio the Eflite will not do you any good with the ASX system . The reviews are good on both . As for the Dynam retracts I have found by adding just a touch of White Grease to the screw inside the retract it helps . Not sure where you live n fly but when the temps start to drop the Dynams have a history of not working well at 50 and below . I have read of guys replacing them with other brands just not sure which one was used . Also the Dynam is a four cell for power . Keep us informed on your choice !

I used to have the Dynam Corsair and I did not like it. I thought the retracs were horrible. Considering it used four cell power I thought it would zip through the sky. It seemed to have not much power. I just did not like the way it flew. I ended up giving it away.

I have them both and I love to fly both of them however for the money the Eflite is the better plane. It has very good retracts, flaps and comes with a receiver.

Also Tirediron didn't you put a set of retracts from the eflite corsair into the dynam corsair.

Yes but that's $169 for the plane, $64 for the retracts and $25 for the Robart wheels which puts you within $30 from the Eflite.

I can't comment on the corsair

              But I have 3 Horizon Hobby T-28s ( UM T-28, Parkzone T-28, Carbon Z T-28) and the Durafly T-28.

I wish I had saved the money I spent on the Durafly T-28 and got the 1.2M T-28.

Little things, quality of construction, quality of the plastic, the way the plane flies.

To be honest, with the exception of the SkyMule, all of my Durafly planes have been "ok", while every plane I have from Horizon has been "great"

Your right Tirediron. And he will still have to put a reciever in the dynam . The eflite will come with safe technology so there is the other 30. I think for sure he would be better off with the eflite. Plus he will have flaps already installed. I don't know why. To me a war bird is not complete without flaps wheather I need them or not. That was a great way to present things Tirediron.

I got my Eflite used and the AS3X was already enabled and I didn't have a cable to disable it so it's in the spare parts bind until I get a cable.
