Worked on my nose gear this week. I have one broken nose door as a result of some grass. So nose doors are removed. I gorilla glued a small block of wood to the plastic support in order to take out any play in the nose gear. I also had to glue the ant-rotation link on the nose gear just like the ones on the mains. There is hardly any play in it now other than the wheel on the axle.

I had some wrinkly wingtips after a high speed dive (I think I found Vne). So I tried to repair them as best I could. It looks OK I guess. The lights show up better now. At least I don't have those ugly wingtips.

This plane is my warm-up bird. I call it my weather recon ship.. It is fully instrumented with airspeed, altitude, rpm, temp, and lipo sensors.

My back seater had something rattling around in him. Had to extract him. Then trimmed him down to fit better. Filled him with spray foam. Didn't work out. He is now gone.
While the canopy was off I dressed up the cockpit with a rear panel and some home made inkjet decals for the front seater.
I re-attached the canopy with contact cement.

I have a flap hinge that is starting to crack. Does anyone know how to fix that? I am considering a bead of silicone or maybe some clear gorilla tape (it's kind of rubbery and holds really good).
I also have some Goop on hand. Some say the Goop gets hard though.

A thin bead of Foam-Tac glue is all you need. If the Goop your talking about is Zap Goo it will attach foam.
