Is there anybody having problems with landing gear. Put in new one retracted once then quit. Man at hobby store said it need a BEC but when I ordered the plane it doesn't come with it.

Getting ready to go out and fly mine again in a couple of hours. I've flown it many, many flights and have not have had a problem with the gear. (I'm sure now that I've said it, it'll be jinxed and something will go wrong.) "Man at hobby store" needs to be more clear about his advice. This ESC already has a built in BEC. If you wish to install an external BEC, then you must disable the internal one and run an external battery for it. There has been some history (very few) of bad retracts for this plane. Some can get stuck and over-draw current, then burn up. An external power supply for the retracts have been done as a solution and safeguard. I haven't done it so can't tell you how it's done. My only problem with this plane is a burned up wing servo. Replaced it and haven't had any issues since.

Thank for the info. I've had this plane for a year no problems! Then the landing gear went haywire ordered new ones and one went bad before I flew it. Sent Horizon a note hope they send a new one love this plane hope too fly again.

Had some real nice flights yesterday with the T-28 although it was very windy (measured as high as 36kph or 22mph, gusting to nearly 45kph) and it landed with full flaps at almost a hover. (May my luck continue.)

My right retract burnt out in mid flight a couple months ago, almost burnt a hole in the wing. Horizon replaced the retract. when I went to remove the burnt one I noticed all the housing bolts were loose & had backed out significantly. Just to be safe I checked the left one as well and sure enough, all those were loose too! I informed Horizon of the issue, but I think my bumpy grass field is at least partly to blame.
