  • Sport Cub S Diving

So my little sport cub s has gotten into the habit of nose diving when in intermediate or advanced. At first I thought it was the wind, but even today on a dead calm day, it did it. I went through 3 batteries and still got nowhere. When I switch out of beginner, it'll fly bout 5ft then start to nose dive. It is easily correctable when flying, just a pain. I've looked at all the surfaces and everything seems good. I tried moving the battery and nothing changed. I used to fly in advance all the time with no problem, this is confusing to me :/

    Hi Ace184,

Have you tried trimming the model for level flight with the model set in either intermediate or advanced mode? Has the trim changed in anyway? Often electronic trims can get moved with you realizing what has happened.

I maxed out the elevator trim in advanced and it didnt help at all. Beforehand I only had a click or two of trim and it was great. At first I thought it was because I wasnt arming it on level ground, but when I tested to see if switching from beginner to advanced(and vice versa) moved the surfaces, but it didnt. Unless I purposely cocked the plane. I just changed the prop and prop shaft, but I dont see how that would cause something like this.

Do you have a spare "non safe" receiver? If your comfortable with the plane get rid of the modes and it will fly perfectly. I've changed 2 safe receivers out for regular ones in my Sukhoi and f4u corsair and they perform muuuuuch better.

I have a 6 channel in my Zero that I can use because I wont get to the Zero for awhile. I was planning to put it in the SU-29, but I can at least test it out.
