FMS J3 Piper Cub 1410 mm battery recommendations differ

The MotionRC website on the Cub has the battery specs as 11.1V 3S recommended.
The FMS manual that comes with the Cub has the battery specs as "14.8V Li-Po" and 35A ESC.
Is the FMS manual a mistake?

I ran into the same thing when I bought my FMS Cub. My LHS said to use the 3 cell 2200mAH size, and looking at other websites, they recommend the same thing. Mine flies great with a 3cell 2200 size. The ESC might handle a 4 cell too, but I haven't tried it and have been happy with the performance the 3 cell provides. Good luck with yours!

3 Cell is correct. A 4 cell would overheat and likely fry the 35A ESC.
