My FL Spitfire flew great right out of the box with no changes needed. You can carefully pry up the cornr of the cockpit with an exacto knife and slowly peel the canopy off. Re-glue the pilot and re-glue the canopy back on with the rubber glue that comes with most foam planes.

Hello, Yes, mine was bailing out as well. I simply cut very carefully around one side of the canopy plastic mounting surface. Then I made a "L" shaped push-rod about 10 inches in length, so I could pull with it. There is a small open area that is near the rear of the pilot seat. Place the "L" inside that hole, so you can slide the tool around the lower plastic canopy glass. Slightly pull outward to separate the cockpit & plastic glass. Once you have most of the right or left side up. Reach in and hot glue the pilot back in his seat. You will notice the glue they use is sticky, not sure why they used that type. Then, once the pilot is secured, re-glue the plastic canopy back onto the cockpit. That's how I fixed mine, takes about 5 minutes. Cheers! Matt ~~C/S Motion RC
