Anyone have recommendations for the control throw setup for the Moray Sport Racer?

Bill, set them at 45 to 55% percent and expo the same, thats what i did with mine and i havent crashed it yet and its still responding with authority in turns and acrobatics. -

I run about a 1/4-3/8'' on ailerons and 0.8-1.2'' for elevator but thats low rate and u wont want high rates. I think I am runing like -65 on all throws for expo, that thing is friggen touchy without it. its a great plane. you will enjoy it. remember to underhand launch it near straight up to keep from torque rolling into the ground. oh, and be careful. there is alot of power in the little plane. a few of my friends have had to go to the hospital for stitches because they were not careful enough. just, during set up, leave the prop off to keep an accident from happening... one thing i did notice, it will torque over real easy if you apply throttle too quickly during flight. so, be gradual and you will be fine.Comment

I have not flown the maiden flight yet, and would like some advice from you
and anyone else, if you will.
1. What throttle do you launch the vertical launch?
2. What throttle do you cruise at?
3. Is there a minimal throttle to cruise at?
4. What is your landing technique? How far will this beastie glide?
5. What type turns do you prefer with her?
6. Any other preflight and flight recommendations?
You can tell the sphincter is tight on this one.

I go full throttle straight up. It has a tendency to level itself out once it gets to a good altitude. It will fly at half throttle just fine once you aren't the air. Landing is pretty easy, considering the nature of this plane. About 1/4 throttle on approach and a then slowly decrease throttle as you get near the ground. It does float better than I thought it would considering it's a pylon racer. A split second before you touch down, cut the throttle completely. The plane is tough so don't worry about breaking it. Mine has taken a 85mph slap to the ground at 90degrees and all that happened was a broken prop. The plane flies pretty well so don't be intimidated, however, be careful. That prop can cause some serious damage and the hospital bills can get expensive.Comment

Oh, and be aware of this during turns. When you are wanting to bank, be at a good speed before you start the turn. Otherwise it will slip and you will lose control.... It will cruise around 1/4-1/3throttle on a straight level flight path.... Another thing, if you want to punch it from low speed to high speed, do not advance the throttle too quickly, if you do, it will cause a crazy torque roll. Advance the throttle slowly to keep that from happening. Other than that, it should be fine.Comment
