Wanting to ask if flaps would be needed to fly or can it fly safely w\o them? Thanks.

My friend flies the Pawnee and I fly the Dynam version (C-188). He never installed the servos for flaps and it flies fine. The AS3X is a great feature in helping it fly. It can fly very slowly already, so flaps aren't really neceassary. You can add them later just to experience a different flight envelope.
I have flaps on my "Dusty" and I use them just for fun but again, they aren't really required. In fact, with flaps, it can get a bit too slow and you need to keep the power up a bit to stay away from its stall speed.

If your landings are still a bit rough, reinforce the landing gear strut in the mounting area. Also that aluminum isn't that strong and can bend. I ended up replacing mine with the strut off my old Super Dimona - very strong, hard metal.

Thanks for the heads up. Sure it will be tested without a doubt.
