I have been after a large scale Hellcat for years. I picked up the planes for the Ziroli Hellcat. I would love a 2000mm foam one and I even looked into having the foam made 1 off. The cat will be my first foray into large craft.......I love me some radials too ;)

Bloke had one of the big ziroli hellcats for sale over here not long ago. Beautiful bird. Whilst he had done a LOT of mods (smoke, highly detailed cockpit etc), and had won trophys here in oz for scale warbirds, he was asking $30,000 for it! No, not kidding - $30 grand. The listing disappeared after a few weeks, I guess he either got someone to pay this, or got sick of the comments on his listing about his asking price. Beautiful plane though, but at 30 grand no way.

That sounds awesome, but at that price I'll take one of these instead ;): https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search...-type=aircraftOriginally posted by Shirty View PostBloke had one of the big ziroli hellcats for sale over here not long ago. No argument from me mate. I'll let you argue with the bloke with the hellcat about that tho... lol. But I gotta say, one of the nicest big warbirds I've seen. It was stunning to be fair to the bloke. Had it been around 5-7k I might have been tempted... I could get one of these pretty much pnp from clubmates for around that.
Couple of the boys having fun with their giant corsairs. Awesome sounding 250cc 5cyl Moki radials. :-)

The Hellcat is my all time favorite warbird thanks to War Thunder. That is what got me interested in this hobby when I found out they made an RC model of the Hellcat. That led me to buying the Dynam F6F Hellcat as my first RC Airplane but I have still have not flown it yet successfully due not having much experience at the time. Since then I have been training with a few other planes like a T-28. From what I have seen the Dynam version is still the best foam Hellcat around. So it would be nice to see a larger scale of it done right.

Well actually the discontinued FMS 1400 F6F is the best foamie version around and I will keep flying it regularly until it meets its expiration date or FL delivers us the bigger one, which ever comes first. ;)Warbird Charlie

Lmao. :) cheers boys, they are amazing to watch. I'm pretty lucky that at my field we have lots of different aspects of the hobby. Everything from control line, 3D, giant scale, turbines , helis etc. The bloke who owns the lighter blue corsair also scratch builds turbines. This one is the largest Airbus in Australia, he's currently working on a 747 with four turbines which will be even bigger.Originally posted by farmflyer View PostMan Shirty kinda wet myself a little watching those. I would love to see one in person some day.
If theres a better series than dogfights 106, I'm yet to see it. Love those. I must of watched every episode ten times over, (and I'll keep watching them over and over), but my favourite is the death of the Luftwaffe episode. For obvious reasons.... the bomber one is amazing too.
Now, I just need a big hellcat or wildcat. ;)1 Photo

I don't know, you get that much money wrapped up in an RC plane, it's too valuable to fly...I can afford to fly and crash a $200 plane...a $5K plane, not so much...Originally posted by Shirty View PostNo argument from me mate. Just ringing the FL bell for one of these since you seem to have a good relationship with GrummanWarbird Charlie
