FMS B-25 4S Setup

Anyone have any experience flying the stock FMS 1470mm B-25 on a 4S pack? The Admiral 4S 3000 battery fits in there perfectly, but I want to see if anyone' had success or failure flying with that battery before I try it.

Thoughts anyone?

I thought about trying my p38 with a 4s, but never did, I didn't think the stock power system would handle it. She has since been retired for the flight line p38

I was going to try it with mine before I sold it. It really could use just a little more punch (and a stronger nose gear). On paper, it should be able to handle it. I have other planes with 1000kv motors and 40A ESCs that run on 4s and bigger props and they work well. However, the only way to know for sure is to put an amp meter on it and see what the stock pulls. That will tell you if there's enough left to try it on 4s.

While I disagree that it needs more punch, my good friend always runs his on 4S. I currently own 5 and fly 4 of these B-25's and 3S 3000 is more than enough. It is pretty fast already.
So, yes it is possible. Fly 'em how you like them!

This is very good to know. Personally, I like my planes powerful enough that I don't have to fly them in the upper throttle range for full enjoyment. I fly off rough grass and the extra power comes in handy to get off the ground expeditiously. But as you say, to each their own.
