FMS trojan question.

    FMS trojan question.

    Hi all:

    picked up a used FMS 1400 mm T28 trojan, and noticed that when the flaps are down they go back up as soon as you increase throttle. When you throttle down the flaps go down (assuming the flap switch is in the down position of course) I don't think that is normal, any ideas on how to fix that?

        I'm no expert on this, but it really sounds like he has mixed flaps with throttle on the programming. I haven't heard of this being done before, but you might want to check the programming on your radio. Just a thought...

            OP, sorry for the delayed response, but I had to find my manual to make sure I put you in the right place.
            My Tx is the Jr 9503 (Spektrum), but I think there's enough similarity to yours that this might apply. Might, mind you! I asked what I did since you'd had no responses at the time, so wanted to toss this out as a possibility to explore.

            There's a function called 'Auto Land' (that's what I couldn't remember), where say, if you're landing & need to do a go-around, this function will raise your gear, but keep the flaps deployed until you regain enough airspeed to safely retract them. The flap retraction is effected by whatever percentage of throttle you program in. You (eg) set at 90%, so you don't immediately slam full throttle -- the flaps stay deployed until you pass that 90% point on your throttle stick.

            This is under the Flap System on the Function List on my JR's....if yours has a similar setup, that's where I'd suggest you take a look. Sounds like something associated might be what's happening - it only takes one accidental pressing of the roller switch to activate. It's a long shot....but thought it'd be better than nothing. Good luck!

            OH....one more thing (just thought of). Go into your Wing Type & make sure you're not operating in Flaperon or Delta mode!
