    J3 1400mm Piper cub

Looking to buy a 1400 mm electric Piper cub J 3 plane. Anybody can advise which is the best for the price and seller. Like to have a strong landing gear set up. Thanks Jay G

I have the Starmax 1400mm Cub. I wrapped and lettered it as a CAP plane. It flies nice, very Cub like. You can fly in on three or four cell, but it is a little lethargic on three cell. A buddy at my club has the FMS 1400 Cub, it also flies pretty good. We have both had to rebuild or reinforce the landing gear after a hard landing. I like my Starmax and don't have any problem recommending it, but be prepared to work on the landing gear if you land hard a time or two.

I've got both the FMS 1400 Cub and the green Starmax Cub. As wvrailfan said, they are both good flyers. I think the Starmax is probably a bit easier to fly, and has more power with the 4S setup, but I really like the FMS version too. I've not had any problems with the gear on either, even after a few not so great landings. The Starmax has bigger tires, and does a bit better off grass. I don't think you would be disappointed with either one.
