Do you mean the wire struts or the tires? You can't get much lighter than those wire struts. As for the tires, you can check out different tires and see how much they weigh compared to your stock tires. Those are pretty big "Tundra" tires but I doubt they're that heavy. Do you want to keep them that big?
I've got a HobbyKing Tundra and the stock tires are big but really light. I went with the new rubbery ones of the same size and they are heavier. Makes landings more smooth. Flies the same. Why do you want to lighten them?

I see. You can always look into making your own struts out of lighter gauge piano wire. Use the old one as a template. In actual fact, if you go that route, weigh the new ones and compare to the old ones. I think you'll see the weight savings is negligible. There's not a lot of metal in those struts. It's a fairly good sized plane and weight savings in that area may not gain you much.Originally posted by wiseguy View PostI'm talking about the wire landing gear struts that come with the Primo. It seems heavy and very stiff. I would like something with a little more give on landings. Something like what's on the
Fun Cub only not that light.
