Here is one that would be for the general aviation and military aircraft crowd, the twin engine Cessna 337 Skymaster and the USAF version, the O-2. Thinking something more of a parkflyer size of 1000mm-1200mm, twin brushless motors, retractable gear, works on a single 2200mAh battery, and available in either civilian colors of the Vietnam era grey for the USAF O-2 with rocket pods under the wings. The challenges would be how to control the elevator since a single pushrod between the booms wouldn't work and how to get the retracts to work. The 337/O-2 had some very odd looking retracts.

I've asked for this also, but in the 1400mm size range, to go with my 1400 FMS Cessna 182. I got to fly an O-2 from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast, non stop. We were in Panama for AT at the time;) -
After I posted, I realized you had done the same. 1400mm would be the upper range for me as I still like the smaller birds that can be easily transported and stored. I would love to get a chance to fly in a real one! There used to be one based out of our local airport, but it was destroyed in a hail storm. Once in a while I will see one flying around locally or even when I am on vacation. Our local weather guy took one to Oshkosh yesterday and that renewed my thought about having an RC one. Last summer there were two O-2's at an air show in Detroit and my dad and I spent most of our time at them and very little at anything else. They are just special planes.Comment
