I was thinking the same thing. Wish I still had my eflite Hurricane. Guess I'll have to settle for a whirlybird in a whirling storm.

Indeed, I'm about 125 miles off the coast. Rain is hitting us hard now

rifleman, you doing alright? Looks like Bastrop area is getting hit pretty good. I'm guessing West Point is on high ground. I'm up on north side of Houston area in Spring so we're pretty good up here so far. The weather guru's are saying this thing is going to hang around for a couple days so no telling how much local flooding is yet to come.

So far so good here. Wind is around 30 and we've had around 6" of rain fall at the moment. The north eye wall is on top of us now though

My camp house flooded in 2016 when the Brazos and San Bernard came out. They are predicting 4o plus feet for the Brazos this time. Last year was a little over 31 or 32 if I recall correctly, so........ Not worried about it going anywhere, but the cattle may be a different story if the creek there gets as high as it did last time. My other house has some roof damage so we are worried about that too. Also, my friend just got done redoing his hardwood floors and carpet and paint, so if he floods again that will be a big bummer too... Just material stuff, so we are praying for no loss of life or injury! FUN FUN FUN!!! :(

Oh man and that's gonna be the worst spot yet again according to the models they just showed. Hope it turns out better than it's looking :(

Hahaha, and the funny thing is half their pilots are crazy enough to try that.

Trying to keep positive but things are still getting worse. Even though most of the rain has slacked off a bit and the heaviest stuff moved eastward the rivers, creeks, and gully's are still filling up and expanding. I just went on a short drive from the house and saw a sight I thought I'd never see about 3/4 mile south of our house. We have maybe a vertical 30-40 feet from what use to be a couple creeks and a gully that have merged into one massive flood that may be close to a mile across. If it keeps backing up and rising into our area we'll flood here which I thought would never happen on this scale. Should know by tonight, hopefully.

Keep us all in your prayers. It's bad down here and getting worse.
