A 1/200 scale Nimitz, you say? I'm comfortable disclosing here on Hobby Squawk that we are pointed toward bringing in this big beast of a boat this year. Details to follow; as I mentioned in another thread, we're still in the process of adding additional product pages.

Best part is it's in scale with our 1/200 Missouri and possibly some escort craft down the line, just give us time to update it to bring it in line with our standards.

Early and late Elco 77's in 1:24.
These were the boats of RON 3 at Manila, and the first ones on the scene in the Solomons. They deserve good models, I'm so sick of seeing PT-109 everywhere.

The early boats had "notchback" wheelhouses and, prewar, had turret domes. The later boats had a swoopy wheelhouse and often had the cone shaped shields around the twin 50's. A few other differences here and there, but both can be built on the same hull. Drawings are hard to find, but they exist. I have built both styles.

Over the last week, I’ve had fun flying the Rotorscale 450 Huey with the Proboat PBR. This has made me wonder if there would be interest in a Vietnam Armored Troop Carrier (ATC) scaled to match the 450 Huey. Would be a lot of fun to fly missions and maybe touch-and-goes to the the helipad on the ship..

Clemson Class would be interesting. They served in multiple different navy's including one that made it into Japanese service. Also there were so many variants leaving the door open to mod's to convert for Mine sweepers, Amphibious Assault, Destroyer Escort and several post war/inter war mods to include a set of banana boats and some Coast Guard Prohibition boats. Them four stackers were all over the place with over 150 built. Including the ship listed as every active duty sailors set of Dream Orders. Orders to the USS Tracy. (for civilians look up Form DD-214 military on the search engine of your choice)
There is plenty of documentation on layout and plenty of pics of the class available that should make designing and building one easy enough. Sell her with a Grey Hull and no Numbers and it would be easy enough for most to put a set of numbers of their on her in an afternoon and during WW2 there was times when they didn't have numbers so easy enough to put her out and enjoy her anyway
