Well it has been a while since I decided to build a display case (more then 10 years), and was surprised I ended up with about $200 bucks in this project. Some of that is my fault covering up mistakes!
Plexy glass has gone up in price so when I broke a piece I decided I was not going to buy another, plus it was a 2 hour round trip and to add insult to injury I dripped glue all over another one. Oh Lordy.
So this is said to explain 2 things with the case. First the 2 black bars painted across the top section, hides the glue drippings! Second. The large black and white American flag you see in the back. Believe or not this is a rear window pickup truck decal, I used to cover up the plexy glass piece I broke. What I did not realize was the cool translucent affect it would have and you can see this in the photos. Unfortunately it will not be seen as well mounted on the wall but if someday I can move it to a table it is interesting.
Just sharing this as an idea.
