I don't think there's any hatred towards the brand on the contrary, it is very popular. I've been racing R/C cars for way over 16 years and I have seen first hand how Traxxas evolved to be a mayor player in the business. I used to have an Sledgehammer truck (the original) and I loved it! What I can tell you is that the brand produces extraordinary "basher" products, not competition-level cars as other well known brands (Team Associated, Losi, Serpent, XRay, Kyosho etc..) and what I've seen at races is a couple of guys trying to compete with their Traxxas cars and quickly get discouraged with their performance. They are not designed for that!! They are fun, tough vehicles that are meant for people that want to have fun in the hobby not just for all out competition.
