    here is a IR hit receiver that I built. This video shows it taking a hit from my HL 6.0 Sherman. Its two very simple circuits. The bread board on the right is the IR receiver circuit. a IR Receiver diode (TSOP23238) detects the IR signal and passes 3 volts to the input of a IC555 timer chip. The out of the chip fires and stays on for x amount of time based of a cap/resister. This output is passed to the 2nd Breadboard on the left. This is a couple of NPN transistors to make a flip flop that make the 4 LED's flash. The flash speed is controlled by a cap/resister. The flash speed is controlled here, the total time on is controlled in the IC555 circuit.
