I upgraded the plastic chassis in my T90 by installing a aluminum brace kit. Really strengthened the chassis without adding a bunch of weight to the tank. Was happy that the kit needed no modification to clear the replacement speakers I moved to the rear in front of the gear cases.
Also modified the chassis to except bearing assemblies for the drive axles which really will save the gear case axle bearings from wearing out prematurely.
Note: You do not want to use anything that will permanently keep those drive axle bearings in place. Only a good snug press fit is needed as these need to be removed to take the gear box assemblies in & out of the chassis.
