I have some ideas on how to repair stripped out plastic threads. Does anyone have any tried-and-true solutions?
A few of my ideas.
1. Put release agent on the screw (soap/Wax), fill the stripped-out threads with epoxy or acrylic glue, insert the screw into the glue and post, let dry then remove screw.
2.Drill out post to accept threaded machine screw insert, glue in threaded insert, and change over machine screws.

3. Drill out striped out threads, glue in a piece of styrene rod, drill hole to accept screw and create new threads.
4. Of course the best thing is not to strip the threads.
