  • Led Lights

I’m new to the RC world and in need of some help, I purchased a Huina and Mercedes Benz fire trucks, my son loves fire trucks and it’s a hobby I’d like for him and I. I purchased some beacon lights and they’re 3 wires, I took the MB fire truck apart and the beacon lights are 2 wires, I figured which wires were ground and power, after I wired them, only 1 light per beacon lights up, is this because the battery on the truck is only 4.7V and it doesn’t have enough voltage to power all the leds on each strobe? Any suggestions on what I could do to get them working properly? I also want to add more leds to the front and rear.

R55, firstly, Welcome to Hobby Squawk. Glad to have you onboard.

Secondly, there are pre-wired LED sets for vehicles on AmaZ*N for example, that can be wired to your firetrucks.

These have their own battery supply which makes it pretty versatile.

Depending on your transmitter type, these can also be wired/programmed with the receiver to come on when you brake, turn left or right, etc.

The separate battery pack and light controller allows you to use different color LEDs as each color can have a different voltage.

This might sound a daunting, but it you look a different systems, you'll see what I mean.

These are pretty much plug-n-play, too.

    Best, LB
