Hello. For several years I have wanted to get one of the Indi Helis Apache helicopters. But the timing was not right. Now that I am in a position to do something they are not available any longer as far as I can tail. So I was wondering how the Roban Apache compared to the Indi Heli? Does anybody have experience with both to share? Is the Roban the same size as the Indi?

In term of size, the Roban is a bit smaller at 1/8 scale vs the Indi at 1/7 scale. The fuselage is 86" long on the indi vs. 69" for the Roban. The Indi Helis kit is a builder's kit that is going to require separate mechanics, and a lot of work to get it airworthy. The Roban includes its own mechanics pre-painted with rivet details, blades, and a cockpit kit. It is far more of a plug and play heli vs the Indi. -
Thank you for that. Although I love to build I don’t think that I want to do so much custom stuff at this point. I think the Roban will be a good fit.Comment
