Question reference to Roban 700 size mechanics

    Hello Everyone,

I’m new to Hobbysquawk and started to build my first Roban product, the HH60 Jayhawk.

My question is reference to the motor mount on the sliding base plate. It only looks like two bolt holes will line up any way I rotate the motor on the plate. Is this standard for the Roban mechanics or am I missing something? Any help appreciate. Thanks

Hi there, I am with Motion RCs heli tech support. I am well aware of the motor mounting bolts on the motor mount only allows 2 because of the way scorpion motor bolt holes were drilled. 2 Bolts will suffice provided they are tightened enough. However you can file to elongate the other 2 holes with closer distance to match the bolt closer holes on the motor and use 4 bolts as your option. Using a high speed steel Dremel bit to widen or elongate them or a diamond file will be the perfect tool to use. You can also remove the upper adjustable plate to allow you enough space to move about. Any further questions, let me know.
