  • EC-135 Fenestron Setup

    Hello all,
Recently got a Roban 800 EC-135 with fenestron. I have never setup a fenestron before, and would like to any tips tricks to be on the watch for. I did pick up a super/mega/ultra Torq servo for the tail- 41kg @8.4v. The instructions (which are dated 2016) show them mounting the tail servo way down the boom close to the fenestron itself. However it came with the standard length pushrod, with the pushrod being a heavy duty carbon fiber, which leads be to believe the normal servo placement. I plan on using a Beastx gyro as well... so any gyro settings, mounting tips etc would be appreciated.

Got it thanks, keep us posted on your build and problems you may encounter, I have been holding off building one with the fenestron tail because there really isn't to many build videos out there I don't think, so any info and up close pic of your build would be great. Thanks

Make sure you use the correct KV motor with the fenestrons. You will need a EgoDrift 460kv as Scale Flying suggests. We have 2 flying down here and once the motors were swapped for the correct KV all of the issues went away. We found out that we were spinning the tails too fast. I think you are good on the servo selection. You need tons of torque with hem. Hopes this helps.
