Hey folks! I’m dry fitting my mechanics in my Roban 407. Where should the tail rotor be situated in the tail section? If I need to adjust the rotor tail assembly rearward how do I shorten the tail boom to accomplish that? My tail rotor assembly sits ok in the tail section, but I’m unable to secure the centering screw and I can’t get to the two locking screws. Everything is too far forward in the tail boom. As you can see in the photos. Based on measurements I have taken I need to remove approximately 15 mm to bring everything rearward into the tail box to get access to all the securing screws. Any ideas or recommendations? Thnx

Hi Astro. You do not need to shorten that tail cone, boom, or anything else on your B407. Just remove the 4 screws that mount your mechanics to the base, then slide the mechanics further back temporarily (tail cone is left loose for this) to tighten the tail rotor assembly-to-tail boom screws. You may need to rotate the mounting position of your tail servo to get better clearance inside the fuselage so the mechanics will slide further back. Remount the mechanics screws when done. Hope this helps!
