  • Roban Parts Supplier: Zy-Hobby.

Hello all, I have a new way to order parts for the Roban Helicopters. There is a vendor on ebay: Zy-hobby, which apparently in the same general geographical area as Roban b/c they call them directly to ask to get parts. I saw a youtube vendor and that person mentioned that they ordered parts from them (Zy-hobby). I went and found them on ebay, and they list Roban helicopters for sale, but no parts.
Of course the had the white 800 size OH6 Cayuse that I haven't seen anywhere listed or a year+ now. They had it listed at 2400, but you could make an offer. I made an offer of 1900 initially, and we went back and forth and settled on $2250 (including shipping). Then I asked about parts in general that I have been looking for. Stuff, that I just generally needed that hasn't been available on MRC website in awhile, and somethings I have never seen listed, except on scaleflying.de.
So I ultimately ended up making two orders: one that was the 800 OH6 Cayuse, which I asked for a 600 size MD500 fuselage tube and the 800 size EC 135 window kit. That was shipped via sea.
The second was just a parts order, which I wanted a carbon frame kit for the 700 AH1 Cobra, helical gear upgrades, a drop down gear drive, and some torque tubes. That was sent via air.
The big sea box came in yesterday and took around 21 days. The small packages shipped via came in 14 days. Everything was well packaged and made the trip very well.
The process is that they like to communicate via whatsapp and they use paypal for payment. They like for you to send pictures of exactly what you are asking for.
They then confirm that roban has it or can get/make it. You pay for it, and then it's shipped to them, and they ship it to you.
They sent pictures of all individual parts before shipping, and pictures of it packaged up for shipping. The sent tracking numbers for everything.
I was very pleased with the process and outcome.

This is the box that was shipped by sea which contained the 800 Cayuse and windows and 600 fuselage tube. It was the normal two box shipping, which included some 1/8" wood pieces for support.

That is awesome sfcfury, so you have to take pictures of what you need and they go by the pictures or is there part numbers involved some how?? Thanks and great info, sure glad you got the parts in a timely matter, your going to love the Cayuse, it flies great and the build is so easy, only issue I had was the rear painted boom and fuselage painted stripes didn't line up well.

I used pics and part numbers (mostly from website photo's)... but for example that drop down gear (the attached picture)... I didn't see a part number or anything... so I took a picture of it from the part I wanted to replace... and it just helps confirm that we are all on the same page... then they took pictures of the stuff when they received the parts and sent it to me to confirm that's what I wanted before it shipped... It pretty much opens door to get any part you can think of honestly... like that frame kit... I have never seen the frame kit sold by anyone... scalefly.de or mrc.
