Tail rotor drive gear shaft replacement

Hi again people. Has anyone tried to press off the rear tail rotor shaft gear belt drive to add in a longer rod? Any ideas without damaging it?

Should have a set screw ?
If not just place on a hot plate (coffee maker works good) aluminum will expand faster than the shaft, will just slide off

It's a spline shaft
