I have been working on this for a few months now.
while talking with the creator of the 3D files I’ve been working on the mechanics and designing a torque shaft drive system with transition.

I finally got enough of the fuselage printed that I could start dry fitting and finalizing the tail drive system.

note the 3D file design is for electric motor tail drive. I just don’t like the sound of that type of system. The gentlemen that design the 3D files made a boom set that would allow me to use a torque tube drive system.

I had bought a custome angel gear transmission but that would not turn down enough and Ciara a 1/4” gap at the boom to main fuselage connection point.

so I ended up going back to my original design I did back in May before I had the files. It’s 6 degs of angle. Ended up being perfect. One of those situations where I got it right 1st try. Lol

i will continue to up date here over the next few months as i finish the build.

Test flew the mechanics today. Flew great but I need to make the transition housing stronger.

next set should do the trick. Then I’ll just fly the heck out of it so I can get a good idea of long term wear and tear before I stick into the fuselage.

Update
after two solid months of printing and reprinting I’m finally done and have started assembling and dry fitting.
I should be ready to paint when the weather is ready hopefully by next month.
