  • Fly wing Huey 450

Hi all, New to the Forum. Finally got a Huey. About as close as i'll ever get to owning one. Santa brought it a little early. I use to fly an Align 450 years ago. Seeing this new Heli was enough to pull the plug in my later years. Just got done testing it out. Very impressive and a lot easier to fly then the older stuff. It does take some of the excitement out of it. But that's good! Won't have to rebuild it that often which saves lots of money and time. I'm in north Fl. and enjoying this cooler weather as we speak. Been into all types of aviation for quite a while now and still enjoy it. Hope to pick up some valuable info on the sight. Merry xmas!

Hi dago, I also just got a Fly Wing Uh1 V4. I had the main rotor screws too tight on its maiden flight and it wobbled like crazy. I lossened them but still get a death wobble even before takeoff and have to abort takeoff. I noticed that the driveshaft is not perfectly vertical causing the main rotor blades to not be perfectly horizontal. Could that be part of my problem? Video link:

(sorry about the F-bomb at the end)

I'm checking with helidirect on that. The last time i talked to them David said those 3d printed linc arms on the blades were not needed. It makes sense to me as the blade can ride were it wants to be from inertia as my former helis worked. Hoping to talk to them soon when they call me back. Will let you know.

Helidirect just got back with me and he said the printed lincs can be used at you discretion. He also said there's something on youtube for a fix about the shake you experienced.
