Hi Guys,
Had my Huey from Roban a couple of weeks now and I'm about to throw it at the wall.
It had a disagreement with a tree when I ran out of talent. Damage wasn't bad, just some new blades and a couple of swash idlers. I checked that electrically everything still worked whilst I waited for parts, which it was. Servos still responded, motors ran etc.
Yesterday I plugged a battery in and it behaved very strangely. None of the LED lights on the heli worked, and none of the servos worked. Totally unresponsive to inputs. However, I could still arm it and start the motors. It would still find GPS signal. Just the lights and the servos don't work.
I replugged all the servos and the lights into the correct channel on the flight controller but nothing. Checked everything. The receiver is a cheap one so I ordered another but I don't think that's the problem, as it's still bound to the transmitter and I can start the motors. Could be the flight controller, but why would it let me start the motors but not use the servos? Maybe also the ESC? Chances of all 3 servos failing suddenly at once? Almost zero.
I've got a new flight controller and ESC coming on Monday so I'll try swapping those out. But I'm stumped and welcome any ideas.
