mh60 700 need advice

Im currently working on my mh60 700 heli.. when the angle torque tube tail rotor is installed, its abit past the center of the round housing area. so when the tail cover is installed, the tail pitch lever touches the edge. i tried to re=position the mechanics but to no avail. is there something that im missing?
its definitly out of position, the eva dampeners sticks out as well..

i guess this normal, i totally missed the manual picture, where a portion on the tail section was cut out to accommodate for this irregulaties in design, i would hate to do this, but looks like there's no other choice.
