Our next aircraft will be revealed tomorrow live on YouTube at 12pm EST at the link below. You can set a reminder on YouTube to be sure you don't miss it.

    What will it be?

Alpha dropped poem hint for you all to ponder:

    Blaze emblazoned worn its hull
    Murky seen the sweated curl
    Wild the wildling's seat concealed
    Sun white wildman's flag unfurled
Toll the bell knelt down the drag
Loft and wilted 'neath his trees
    Banners roll his father's man
remembered on from sand to sea

Papa is hoping for a new 1600mm warbird.....come on Alpha ...Deliver....Please! But, from sand to sea and hull sound like something on water. I think everyone would like a PBY Catalina flying boat. My guess, Hope I am wrong still want a warbird.

A PBM would be welcome as well. I've seen Alpha mention it a few times on various threads.

What ever it is will be welcome.

                Not a Catalina , that's for later.

Come on, T-Cat, I know you're more observant than that, you can crack that poem's code !

For the record, I posted that poem/riddle in the "What's Next, Alpha?" thread, because people asked for it. So don't blame me if your brains melt.

From my position, it's as clear as day

Ha-ha, I'll look at again my dude.

                    It would be cool if it was a Canadair/Bombardier CL-415 Superscooper . Maybe it's a Grumman HU-16.

Going by the poem I feel it's a Japanese plane looking at the flightline list it dosent have one so my guess is a zero

That's where my guesses were going too. While not on my must have list, the Zero makes a great model airplane.

                            @Alpha Eureka!

I saw the poem and have to say
Alpha’s words did give it away
Read his words and check the rhyme
You will get it, give it time

I won’t say the name of this bird
That’s no fun, don’t be absurd
You’ll get the answer in just one way
                            Watch the YouTube later today

                            Best regards,
                            Cris B.

LOL that graphic never gets old Beeg.

And for the record I know what the model is but even I don't get the poem's reference! Then again that doesn't mean much coming from me.

Well, I knew if I delayed on a project long enough it would eventually be released by flightline or freewing

Was working on a 1/9 scale bronco, so 50mm shorter wingspan.

Here is a breakdown of the two minute poem/riddle I posted earlier, for those asking for it. In hindsight, this one was easy, if you're crazy enough.

The announcement said "New Aircraft", so that rules out a boat, tank, truck, etc.

Poem Line <-- Clue -- Background

Blaze emblazoned worn its hull <-- "Low flying attack aircraft" because fires/blasts/blazes are reflecting on its body"
Murky seen the sweated curl <-- "Observation aircraft, that's hot" because it's hard to see through the sweat --the OV-10 was notorious for not having an air conditioner despite operating in hot climates
Wild the wildling's seat concealed <--"Northman, whose seat/living place is hidden" --Wildlings are from the North in Game of Thrones... North Vietnam or North Korea are the only "North" terms when considering a warplane. The North Vietnamese Army often sat/lived underground, concealed
Sun white wildman's flag unfurled <--"White phosphorus, being unleashed by another kind of wildman" -- War is two sided. From the NVA's perspective, the American flag was unfurling onto their country with violence (sun = burning) (white = Anglo Westerner) whom they considered uncivilized "wildman"
Toll the bell knelt down the drag <-- "Ready Station aircraft that can kneel before taking off a dragstrip runway" -- The OV-10's Black Ponies were often scrambled on alert, and the OV-10 is known for having a kneeling nose strut that it kneels before taking off down short drag strip runways
Loft and wilted 'neath his trees <-- "Short take off but stays low" --Loft = Takeoff, but remains "beneath the treetop" level. This line reinforces the first line about being a Low Flying aircraft. So, not a fighter or SR-71
Banners roll his father's man <-- "His" = Son.... "Father's" = Father...... "Father's man" = Grandfather ...... = Three Generations of warfighters (banners) -- The OV-10 first flew in 1965 and is still flying in 2020.
remembered on from sand to sea <-- "served in sandy and sea conditions". "Remembered on from" = The current condition is Sand (anti-ISIS ops in 2015), looking back to the Sea condition (carrier-ops and Riverine/PBR ops in Vietnam"

All the clues, when taken together:

                                      New Aircraft
                                      Low Flying Aircraft
                                      Observation Aircraft
                                      Hot Climate
                                      Northmen fighting other [White] wildmen
Scramble Aircraft that can Kneel before Taking off
Short Take-off that stays above Treetops (forested areas)
                                      Three generations of pilots
Used in Sandy and Wet conditions

                                      ....

The only aircraft that meets all those criteria is the OV-10 Bronco.
