It's open via escort twice a year. I've never done it myself.. Must have been really interesting. Trust me your not the only one that's happened too.

I don't think even with that they'll let you in because of all the un-exploded ordinance and there's probably still some residual radiation from over 40 years of testing.

You are escorted by Military Police to and from the site. Everyone needs proper ID along with car registration , insurance and so on. There's no go where ya like for obvious reasons.
