  • New aviation magazine available in print and digital

    Hey everyone,

I'm Daniel, a 22-year-old aerospace graduate from northern Virginia and lifelong aviation enthusiast.

Over the past five months, I've been building Jetstream Magazine, a new quarterly aviation magazine designed for people who love the stories behind the skies, not just headlines. Jetstream is available in print and digital editions, and I'm currently working to get it placed in bookstores across the country.

    Each issue features:

    - Long-form stories about aircraft, airlines, and airports, written by real aviation writers

    - Stunning photo essays from aviation photographers around the world

    - A mix of analysis, history, and exclusive stories that go beyond normal magazine articles/aviation news posts you'll find online

Highlights from our first issue (currently live – you can preview it at jetstreammag.com):

Terminal Trouble: Japan's Busiest Airport is Slowly Sinking :: we worked with Osaka Kansai Airport to write an article about its history, unique construction, and the operational challenges it faces 30+ years later.

One Size Too Small: What Happened to the A318? :: we analyze the motive, execution, and aftermath of the Airbus A318, revealing why it didn't sell as well as Airbus had hoped.

Supersonic Secrets: The Tupolev Tu-144 "Concordski" :: we recount the history of the Tupolev Tu-144, an aircraft developed as a result of espionage, increased tensions, and technological rivalry during the Cold War.

Next issue (Dec 1) will include:

Onboard the COMAC C919 :: we explain the significance of China's domestically produced COMAC C919 and document our experience flying onboard China Eastern Airlines' C919 from Hong Kong to Shanghai.

Inside Virgin Australia's E195-E2 :: we visited Virgin Australia's Perth hangar to welcome the new Embraer E195-E2 to the fleet – and even joined on one of the aircraft's certification flights.

Farewell to JetBlue's E190 :: we spoke with passengers onboard JetBlue's last E190 flight about their unique experience between New York-JFK and Boston.

Starting in our next issue (December 1), we're also introducing interactive features: QR-powered widgets that allow readers to go beyond the print, unlocking videos, interviews, behind-the-scenes tours, and visual dashboards.

If you'd like to check it out, you can preview the magazine and articles here:

Quarterly print + digital aviation magazine with data visualizations, 3D content, and expert analysis.

I built Jetstream for aviation lovers like us, and I'd love your thoughts or feedback.

    Cheers.

TL;DR: I built Jetstream Magazine, a quarterly print+digital aviation featuring long-form stories, rare aircraft coverage, and interactive extras. Preview at https://jetstreammag.com
