  • RC Groups: Is this website up? 12/1/25

I have not been able to log in to RCG for a few days.

Is their site down for repair or something?

That's odd. I just went there now and I can get in. (I'm even permanently banned there. )

Well, you must be using Windows 7..........I too was not able to until I went and used my laptop that has W10 and low and behold I got on, I then went to ask in the comment forum and good old Jason said as the reply to any question about the software is that it's on my side and not their custom software.
I had Norton a year ago turn on VPN when I would go to RCG and when I asked, The reply was that Norton was the problem and last week got the same response. RCG was the first forum I would visit and is now my last....or not at all for the day because I have to change computers. Him and Jim don't care if viewership dwindles and there advertising cause I said that and never got a reply.

Certain anti-virus programs and VPNs can cause problems. I had Nord VPN and it stopped my email from working. The fix was too complicated, so I dumped Nord and asked for a refund.
Try deleting your cookies and cache and log in again. Also, some "extensions" can cause issues and that depends on the browser you're using.

I did that and noting changed, It's Ok the only sites that do it are FG and RCG so that speaks for it's self. Norton after a month or so stopped flagging RCG as malware and stopped turning VPN on.

Well, at the least you've explained the issues.

Love my Win7, but it is getting harder to use work-arounds.

I have a Win10 machine, but use it only for 3DP printer software and some CAD.

Will avoid WIn11 as long as is reasonably possible.

I do the same with the laptop for 3D, I just like having the 55in screen as to a 14.5in on the laptop, I guess I have to bring the laptop into the office and connect it to the 55in.
I don't want W 11 ever but we will eventually or go dark with computers, they have us by the two below until some other software is more user friendly.

Most new PCs come with Windows11. Older PCs tend to be more reluctant to work on Win11. My old PC crapped out last week and I'm using a brand new one now. It came with Win11 and seems to work very well. It took me a good part of a day, working off and on, to get it to the state I wanted it to be. Sometimes it's better and easier to get a new computer than to try and update or upgrade an old one. Black Friday sales were great for picking up a good deal.

I don't use a conventional monitor. My 55" smart TV is my only display. For portability, I use my Iphone. As for software, I have a very old IOS Mac. Even though Apple no longer supports it, it still works very well for things like internet stuff. It seemed to be more resistant to years of collecting malware. Even though my virus scanner picked up nothing on my old PC, it became unusable near the end.

                      xviper.

Have you heard of Chris Titus or Chris Titus Tech?

                      Does a ewe-toob and dislikes W11 admirably

He had a utility I added to my W10 machine, though it is designed more for W11.

Point is, it combines & allows all existing (he updates it regularly) work-arounds from other 3rd parties to declutter W11.

$10.00 USD donation and it worked wonders for my W10 machine.

You can add it without doing a clean install, too.

                      Might check it out.

It might not be viruses as much as malware, Malware bits is one of the best free ones out there.
