Most interesting.. I'm thinking either an F-22 or F-35. My far-out guess would be a C-141. The "Starlifter" would be fitting for the night background. Maybe even an F-117? Looking forward to finding out..

Well Crunch and I look to be solid as getting ours for free to do flight reviews ;) because we're solid with the Widow. Quit vasillating back n forth Brandon between the Widow and the B-24 and jump in the winners circle with us

The image on the MRC site is of North and South Korea. It doesn't look the same as the banner at the beginning of this thread. Even the symbols are different. I say a new F-86 because that is what I make out of the symbol on the MRC website in a mirror and it being the Korean Peninsula. Another possibility might be an F-82 twin Mustang because it was a night fighter during the Korean conflict.

For my 3rd guess I would go with the F-7 Tigercat as well because it was also a Korean era night fighter.

I don't know Charlie, I think Im starting to waiver on the Widow. Now Im thinkin it could be the SR71. Its an awesome looking spy plane and maybe it will be Flightline's first edf?

Let's see, prop driven because it's a Flightline plane, looks like a nighttime recon photo, I'm hoping for a P-61!

If you mirror image the banner on the site the symbol makes a real nice FJ-5. Yeah, it's a reach, but it is fun.

                            1. P-61
                            2. U-2
                            3. SR-71

Mostly due to the night recon background and mental gymnastics trying to decipher the icon thing.

I changed my mind on the F-82 to go with the SR71 as well.

RCjetdude deciphered it best. Here were the clues:

                                        1) The map is of Korea
                                        2) The photo is at Night
                                        3) The photo also looks like a Reconnaissance photo
                                        4) The Glyph is 2 L 7. The "Lelu" is the L, and when removed, you have 2, and 7. The only aircraft that operated in Korea, at Night, as a night fighter and Reconnaissance platform, with the number "7" in its name, was the

                                        F7F Tigercat.

"Lelu" in and of itself is impossible to decipher (it's a code name, after all), because it is the name of recently departed cat. When considered in context of the 2 L 7 glyph, and the night reconnaissance photo of Korea, however, it all comes together.

Ahh, okay. Thanks for the explanation! The glyph on the actual front page was different and had an extra line that threw off the whole "2L7" resemblance.
