What's this new "Thanksgiving" banner?

The image on the MRC site is of North and South Korea. It doesn't look the same as the banner at the beginning of this thread. Even the symbols are different. I say a new F-86 because that is what I make out of the symbol on the MRC website in a mirror and it being the Korean Peninsula. Another possibility might be an F-82 twin Mustang because it was a night fighter during the Korean conflict.

I don't know Charlie, I think Im starting to waiver on the Widow. Now Im thinkin it could be the SR71. Its an awesome looking spy plane and maybe it will be Flightline's first edf?

If you mirror image the banner on the site the symbol makes a real nice FJ-5. Yeah, it's a reach, but it is fun.

1) The map is of Korea
2) The photo is at Night
3) The photo also looks like a Reconnaissance photo
4) The Glyph is 2 L 7. The "Lelu" is the L, and when removed, you have 2, and 7. The only aircraft that operated in Korea, at Night, as a night fighter and Reconnaissance platform, with the number "7" in its name, was the

F7F Tigercat.


"Lelu" in and of itself is impossible to decipher (it's a code name, after all), because it is the name of recently departed cat. When considered in context of the 2 L 7 glyph, and the night reconnaissance photo of Korea, however, it all comes together.

Ahh, okay. Thanks for the explanation! The glyph on the actual front page was different and had an extra line that threw off the whole "2L7" resemblance.
