Such an amazing pilot and someone who inspired my interest in aviation from childhood up until the present.

I had the privilege of watching Mr. Hoover perform in the Aero Commander and the P-51. Outstanding. He inspired me as well.Meridian Aeromodelers, Meridian MS -
Hoover, what an Icon! I got to see him, too. From early on I was a sponge for anything aviation, and Bob was everything aviation. I loved his aero commander routine, his dead stick acrobatics were incredible.Comment

I have seen a lot of pilots who are damned good, but Hoover was a cut above!
Anyone who could touch P-51 wingtips to the ground and live has my undying respect.
