bignuggs was wondering how many seniors fly r/c, and tried to tell us he was one year old.
I think he's fibbing.

Well, let's see..... What WERE we talking about?????
I believe we began with a quest to discover the general age range of those who seem to contribute to the forum community. Although some may qualify as "Seniors" most refuse to accept the label.
Through that process we began discovering that age, in the minds of most here on the forum, is just a number and has little to do with anything. I offer as evidence that fact that we still build models as most of us did as kids, albeit, much more sufisticated.
If I'm not mistaken, from there we discovered quite a few of us are musicians and still have the desire to throw down here and there so, the 'idea' of getting together somewhere, sometime and holding an MRC!! "A Motion Rock Concert!" was born!! We found our Rhythm Section less keyboards and I think someone just found some background vocalists.
Yeah.... I think that pretty well sums is up.....
Fun, Huh..... that's what makes the forum a blast!!
Yeah, that about sums it up. Sorry we kinda drifted off subject, but old folks tend to do that!
I think age has nothing to do with anything, once there's a common interest, age is the first thing to go out the door. I wouldn't complain if I was 100 and fully functional, with a lot of cash to spend on airplanes and my own big field to fly from.
I see in Model Aviation that there's even a retirement village with a HUGE R/C Flying Field!
Now, I don't know about you, but that would cause me no end of confusion..........
I wouldn't know if I'm still alive or dyed and went to R/C Heaven!!!
Our RC club is made up , mostly of guys over 60. None under 40. Where are the kids?!!! Oh,thats right, playing video games and texting. SAD!!! The Doctor - By the way, I'm a blues musician ( guitar, bass, blues harp). Doctor Mike is my stage name. I don't do it much any more. It's too much like work! I'd rather be flying!!! The Doctor
As an Electronics and Aerospace teacher, is see the yearly progression of students showing less and less interest in any 'outside' activities.
Even when I can get them outdoors to fly their rockets or plane projects they can't wait to get back inside to the simulators because it's like video games.
