RE: Gecko 65A ESC Cuts Out
The problem is not that there is a new firmware update. The problem is that ZTW is a Chinese company whose instructions do not translate well into English. Much of the process is 'Trial-and-error'. In my case: this has nothing to do with Amp draw, propeller type or a programming (interface) card. The problem is a glitch in the firmware timing at sudden demand or high RPM. ZTW was obviously aware of the problem since they made a newer version of the firmware that fixes the issue - in theory anyway. Getting the new firmware from the internet into the ESC is a problem because of the poor instructions mentioned earlier. If I cannot do this, then there is really no point in me keeping this ESC since the performance is currently so poor. Therefore, I contacted the supplier about an exchange for an E-Flite.
It's seems pretty straightforward to me...
