My DX-9 suffered an accident which left it with 4 broken 3-way switches, along with this, it also needs a couple trim switches replaced. I sent a request to Horizon for an estimate but no reply. I know they are great at repairing issues not caused by pilot abuse at little to no charge, but am wondering if the costs for this will at or near 50% value of a new DX-9, Anybody have an idea???

Not that you will experience the same but I dropped my radio a couple years back and sent it in for repairs and they did not charge me for the parts and it was definitely out of Warranty. They can only give an estimate when they have the radio in hand so you are going to have to send it to them but they will typically call you first before doing anything. Their Service Dept from past experience and from what others say has been fair in the cost of any repair they make. -
