  • A3Super3 Hobbyeagle Gyro PC Connection Issue

I purchased a Hobbyeagle A3Super3 gyro awhile ago and decided to try it in an airplane. Followed the instructions for both the Gyro and the software install per the manual. Gyro is functioning correct (Radio functions work, so does the flight modes on the 3 way switch) But I can not get the Gyro to connect to the computer / software. I have installed the latest V2 config and driver but the gyro does not communicate between PC to Gyro. I noticed on the MotionRC website under the support tab for this Gyro and it's says V1.X will not be supported with the V2 config software? I also tried downloading and installing the Firmware updater thinking this would update my Gyro to V2? Sill no connection so it won't update?. I see the driver is installed on COM3 and that's what I select in the software to to communicate, but it just does not connect., just says "offline"??? Any suggestions would be great. Otherwise, this gyro is useless to me as it need the PC software to configure, unless of course I buy the programming card and that works.....

I was able to connect my gyro to my PC and configure it ONCE, now its not being read by the software, Not sure what to do at this point, might return it and try another once.

I purchased the A3 Super 3 gyro with the program card. So far, I am happy with the product. It seems to do the same things as the other gyros (A3 and A3L), but I can't seem to get the gyro gain function to work on the Left Lever on my DX18 Tx. I have a number of other EDFs with these other gyros, and there has been no problem getting the Left Lever to adjust the gain. I'm pretty sure that I have the radio setup correctly. After all, I have 8 other FreeWing EDFs that are all working find with gyros. I really like the ability to program the gyro with the program card, but I keep thinking that there is something that I am missing. Does anyone have any thoughts about my problem? Thanks...

OK, I have to say that I did not update the firmware for the unit. If that is the problem, then I apologize for the post. But, I would think that the gain function should work without the update. Someone, please chime in and provide an answer. Thanks...
